Seven Sense Festival

Seven Sense Festival

The inaugural Seven Sense Festival, a block party featuring more than 20 bands, local food and an emphasis on craft beers, will be Sept. 20 on South Preston Street.

Two blocks of South Preston will be closed for the free festival, which will run between noon and 3 a.m. and involve four businesses: The New Vintage, Zanzabar, The Greenhaus and Purrswaytions.

New Vintage owner Hunter Embry organized the festival, which will star local, regional and national bands such as Bodeco, The Pass, Old Baby, Brian Olive, Pujol, Johnny Berry and The Outliers, Discount Guns, Woody Pines, Howell Dawdy, The Instruction, Machines Are People Too and the Louisville Leopard Percussionists.

Breweries will include BBC, West Sixth, Falls City, Upland, Sterling and New Albanian, all of which will debut seasonal brews and specialty beers as part of Louisville Craft Brew Week. Plus we’ll be there dishing out our best to keep your hunger under control.

Seven Sense Festival is all ages until 10 p.m., when the party moves indoors to the participating venues. Some proceeds will benefit Boys and Girls Haven.
